According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the index of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in August 2013, compared to August 2012, was 100.7.
This increase is caused by the increase of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in the sectors: Transportation and storage (6.7%), Mining and quarrying (6.6%) and Other service activities (6.6%).
An increase in the average monthly gross wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors: Water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (4.9%), Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (4.4%) and Accommodation and food service activities (2.3%).
The average monthly gross wage paid per employee in August 2013 was 30 990 denars.
In August 2013, 1.5% of the employees in the Republic of Macedonia did not receive any payment.
