According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the index of the average monthly net wage paid per employee in July 2017, compared to July 2016, was 101.5.
This increase is caused by the increase of the average monthly net wage paid per employee in the sectors: Professional, scientific and technical activities (10.4%), Mining and quarrying (8.7%) and Information and communication (5.6%).
A decrease in the average monthly net wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors: Arts, entertainment and recreation (13.9%), Water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities (4.6%) and Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (3.7%).
The average monthly net wage paid per employee in July 2017 was 22 671 denars.
In July 2017, 1.3% of the employees in the Republic of Macedonia did not receive any payment.
