According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the index of the average monthly net wage paid per employee in February 2017, compared to February 2016, was 102.4.
This increase is caused by the increase of the average monthly net wage paid per employee in the sectors: Transportation and storage (11.9%), Information and communication (6.0%) and Mining and quarrying (4.9%).
A decrease in the average monthly net wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors: Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (8.1%), Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (7.3%) and Mining and quarrying (5.4%).
The average monthly net wage paid per employee in February 2017 was 22 347 denars.
In February 2017, 1.3% of the employees in the Republic of Macedonia did not receive any payment.
