According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the index of the average monthly net wage paid per employee in August 2016, compared to August 2015, was 101.9.
This increase is caused by the increase of the average monthly net wage paid per employee in the sectors: Construction (10.1%), Administrative and support service activities (6.6%) and Manufacturing (4.3%).
A decrease in the average monthly net wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors: Information and communication (3.0%), Manufacturing (2.2%) and Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (0.9%).
The average monthly net wage paid per employee in August 2016 was 22 294 denars.
In August 2016, 1.2% of the employees in the Republic of Macedonia did not receive any payment.
