According to the data of the State Statistical Office, the index of the average monthly net wage paid per employee in January 2014, compared to January 2013, was 100.7.
This increase is caused by the increase of the average monthly net wage paid per employee in the sectors: Transportation and storage (7.3%), Construction (4.0%) and Financial and insurance activities (4.0%).
A decrease in the average monthly net wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors: Other service activities (7.2%), Administrative and support service activities (3.6%) and Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (3.5%).
The average monthly net wage paid per employee in January 2014 was 21 327 denars.
In January 2014, 1.5% of the employees in the Republic of Macedonia did not receive any payment.
