The average monthly net wage paid per employee in January 2010 increased by 3.6% compared to January 2009

According to the data of the State Statistical Office the index of the average monthly net wage paid per employee in January 2010 compared to January 2009 was 103.6.

This increase is caused by the increase of the average monthly net wage paid per employee in the sectors: Mining and quarrying (12.6%), Transport, storage and communications (7.4%) and Manufacturing (7.2%).

The biggest growth of the average monthly net wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors: Fishing (10.6%), Wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles, motorcycles and personal and household goods (8.4%) Agriculture, hunting and forestry (5.5%).

The average monthly net wage paid per employee in January 2010, was 20 330 denars.

In January 2010, 2.6% of the employees in the Republic of Macedonia did not receive any payment.
