Consumer Price Index, by COICOP classification, October 2012

According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index, measured by prices of goods and services for
personal consumption, in October 2012, in comparison with September 2012, was 100.2, while in comparison with
October 2011 it was 105.3.
Analyzed by main groups of intended use, in October 2012, compared with September 2012, an increase of indices
has been registered in the groups: Clothing and footwear by 2.6%, Furnishings, household equipment and routine
maintenance of the house by 0.7%, Food and non-alcoholic beverages by 0.6%, Health and Miscellaneous goods and
services by 0.4% and Communication by 0.1%.
A decrease of the Consumer Price Index was registered in the groups: Transport by 2.1%, Housing, water, electricity,
gas and other fuels and Recreation and culture by 0.6%.
The indices of the groups: Alcoholic beverages, tobacco, Education and Restaurants and hotels remained at the same
level as in the previous month.
