According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index, measured by prices of goods and services for
personal consumption, in September 2012, in comparison with August 2012, was 101.4, while in comparison with
September 2011 it was 105.3.
Analyzed by main groups of intended use, in September 2012, compared with August 2012, an increase of indices has
been registered in the groups: Education by 10.1%, Transport by 2.7%, Food and non-alcoholic beverages by 2.3%,
Clothing and footwear by 1.0%, Miscellaneous goods and services by 0.8%, Communication by 0.4%, Health by 0.3%,
Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels and Restaurants and hotels by 0.1%.
A decrease of the Consumer Price Index was registered in the groups: Recreation and culture by 1.1% and Furnishings,
household equipment and routine maintenance of the house by 0.3%.
The index of the group Alcoholic beverages, tobacco remained at the same level as in the previous month.
