According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index, measured by prices of goods and services for personal consumption, in March 2012, in comparison with February 2012, was 100.4, while in comparison with March 2011 it was 101.4.
Analyzed by main groups of intended use, in March 2012, compared with February 2012, an increase of indices has been registered in the groups: Transport by 2.9%, Furnishings, household equipment and routine maintenance of the house by 0.4%, Food and non-alcoholic beverages, Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels and Miscellaneous goods and services by 0.3%, Clothing and footwear and Recreation and culture by 0.2%, Alcoholic beverages, tobacco and Health by 0.1%.
A decrease of the Consumer Price Index was registered in the group Communication by 0.3%.
The indices of the groups: Education and Restaurants and hotels remained at the same level as in the previous month.
