According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index, measured by prices of goods and services for personal consumption, in February 2012, in comparison with January 2012, was 100.5, while in comparison with February 2011 it was 102.9.
Analyzed by main groups of intended use, in February 2012, compared with January 2012, an increase of indices has been registered in the groups: Restaurants and hotels by 1.8%, Transport by 1.1%, Food and non-alcoholic beverages by 0.7%, Miscellaneous goods and services by 0.6%, Furnishings, household equipment and routine maintenance of the house by 0.4%, Clothing and footwear by 0.3%, Alcoholic beverages, tobacco by 0.2%, Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, Health and Communication by 0.1%.
A decrease of the Consumer Price Index was registered in the group Recreation and culture by 1.6%.
The index of the group Education remained at the same level as in the previous month.
