According to the State Statstcal Ofce data, the Consumer Price Index, measured by prices of goods and services for personal consumpton, in January 2012, in comparison with December 2011, was 101.2, while in comparison with January 2011 it was 103.4.
Analyzed by main groups of intended use, in January 2012, compared with December 2011, an increase of indices has been registered in the groups: Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 5.4%, Transport by 1.3%, Food and non-alcoholic beverages by 0.9%, Recreaton and culture by 0.5%, Health and Miscellaneous goods and services by 0.3%.
A decrease of the Consumer Price Index was registered in the groups: Communicaton by 0.8%, Alcoholic beverages, tobacco, Clothing and footwear and Furnishings, household equipment and routne maintenance of the house by 0.1%.
The indices of the groups: Educaton and Restaurants and hotels remained at the same level as in the previous month.
