According to the State Statistical Offce data, the Consumer Price Index, measured by prices of goods and services for personal consumption, in October 2011, in comparison with September 2011, was 100.3, while in comparison with October 2010 it was 103.3.
Analyzed by main groups of intended use, in October 2011, compared with September 2011, an increase of indices has been registered in the groups: Clothing and footwear by 1.1%, Education by 0.9%, Food and non-alcoholic beverages and Transport by 0.5% and Restaurants and hotels by 0.3%.
A decrease of the Consumer Price Index was registered in the groups: Furnishings, household equipment and routine maintenance of the house and Communication by 0.3%, Recreation and culture and Miscellaneous goods and services by 0.2% and Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 0.1%.
The indices of the groups: Alcoholic beverages, tobacco and Health remained at the same level as in the previous month.
