Consumer Price Index, by COICOP classification, August 2011

 According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index, measured by prices of goods and services for personal consumption, in August 2011, in comparison with July 2011, was 99.9, while in comparison with August 2010 it was 103.6.
 
Analyzed by main groups of intended use, in August 2011, compared with July 2011, a decrease of indices has been registered in the groups: Communication by 2.9%, Food and non-alcoholic beverages by 0.5% and Clothing and footwear by 0.4%.
 
An increase of the Consumer Price Index was registered in the groups: Transport by 1.6%, Miscellaneous goods and services by 0.6%, Recreation and culture by 0.4%, Furnishings, household equipment and routine maintenance of the house by 0.3% and Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 0.2%.
 
The indices of the groups: Alcoholic beverages, tobacco, Health, Education and Restaurants and hotels remained at the same level as in the previous month.
