Consumer Price Index, by COICOP classifcation, June 2011

According to the State Statistical Offce data, the Consumer Price Index, measured by prices of goods and services for personal consumption, in June 2011, in comparison with May 2011, was 99.4, while in comparison with June 2010 it was 104.1.

Analyzed by main groups of intended use, in June 2011, compared with May 2011, a decrease of indices has been registered in the groups: Food and non-alcoholic beverages by 1.3%, Transport by 1.2%, Clothing and footwear by 0.3%, Health and Communication by 0.1%.

An increase of the Consumer Price Index was registered in the groups: Miscellaneous goods and services by 0.7%, Furnishings, household equipment and routine maintenance of the house by 0.2%, Alcoholic beverages, tobacco, Recreation and culture and Restaurants and hotels by 0.1%.

The indices of the groups: Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels and Education remained at the same level as in the previous month.
