Consumer Price Index, by COICOP classifcation, January 2011


According to the State Statistical Offce data, the Consumer Price Index, measured by prices of goods and services for personal consumption, in January 2011, in comparison with December 2010, was 100.9, while in comparison with January 2010 it was 103.2.

Analyzed by main groups of intended use, in January 2011, compared with December 2010, an increase has been registered in the groups: Transport by 2.3%, Food and non -alcoholic beverages by 1.5%, Health by 0.8%, Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 0.5%, Communication and Restaurants and hotels by 0.2%.

A decrease of the Consumer Price Index was registered in the following groups: Recreation and culture by 0.6%, Alcoholic beverages, tobacco and Miscellaneous goods and services by 0.1%.

The indices of the groups: Clothing and footwear, Furnishings, household equipment and routine maintenance of the house and Education remained at the same level as in the previous month.
