According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in April 2019, in comparison with the previous month, was 100.8, while the Retail Price Index was 101.2.
The Consumer Price Index in April 2019, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fresh or chilled fruit by 5.1%, fresh or chilled vegetables other then potatoes and other tubers by 2.3%, sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and confectionery by 0.8%, bread and cereals, other bakery products by 0.5%, alcoholic beverages by 0.3% and oils and fats by 0.2%.
In April 2019, there was also an increase of passenger transport by air by 23.5%, liquid fuels and lubricants for personal transport equipment by 5.1%, gas for household by 2.6%, photographic and cinematographic equipment and optical instruments by 2.1%, liquid fuels for household by 1.5%, footwear, package holidays by 1.7%, small electric household appliances, cleaning and maintenance products by 0.8%, motor cars by 0.6%, major household appliances, glassware, tableware and household utensils by 0.4%, bicycles, spare parts and accessories for personal transport equipment by 0.3% and household textiles by 0.2% .
A decrease in the Consumer Price Index in April 2019, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in food products n.e.c by 0.9%, dry fruit and nuts by 0.5%, other meat preparations, fish and seafood by 0.4%, and milk by 0.2%.
In April, there was also a decrease of the indices of books by 1.0%, equipment for reception, recording and reproduction of sound and picture, equipment for sport, camping and open-air recreation by 0.8%, carpets and other floor coverings by 0.6%, information processing equipment by 0.5%, maintenance and repair of personal transport equipment, other appliances, articles and products for personal care by 0.4%, other medical products by 0.3%, gardens, plants and flowers, other personal effects by 0.2%.
The Consumer Price Index in April 2019 in comparison with April 2018 increased by 1.9%, while the Retail Price Index increased by 1.3%.
