Consumer Price Index, by COICOP classifcation, December 2010

According to the State Statistical Offce data, the Consumer Price Index, measured by prices of goods and services for personal consumption, in December 2010, in comparison with November 2010, was 100.7, while in comparison with December 2009 it was 103.0.

Analyzed by main groups of intended use, in December 2010, compared with November 2010, an increase has been registered in the groups: Transport by 1.8%, Food and non-alcoholic beverages and Miscellaneous goods and services by 1.2%, Health by 0.8%, Furnishings, household equipment and routine maintenance of the house by 0.4%, Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 0.2% and Clothing and footwear by 0.1%.

A decrease of the Consumer Price Index was registered in the groups: Recreation and culture by 1.1%, Alcoholic beverages, tobacco and Restaurants and hotels by 0.1%.

The indices of the groups: Communication and Education remained at the same level as in the previous month.
