Consumer Price Index, by COICOP classification, October 2010

According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index, measured by prices of goods and services for personal consumption, in October 2010, in comparison with September 2010, was 100.3, while in comparison with October 2009 it was 102.7.

Analyzed by main groups of intended use, in October 2010, compared with September 2010, an increase has been registered in the groups: Clothing and footwear by 1.4%, Alcoholic beverages, tobacco by 1.3%, Food and non-alcoholic beverages and Transport by 0.4%, Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 0.3%, Restaurants and hotels by 0.2% and Education by 0.1%.

A decrease of the Consumer Price Index was registered in the following groups: Recreation and culture by 1.0% and Furnishings, household equipment and routine maintenance of the house by 0.1%.

The indices of the groups: Health, Communication and Miscellaneous goods and services remained at the same level as in the previous month.
