Consumer Price Index by COICOP classification and Retail Price Index,

According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index and the Retail Price Index in November 2017, in comparison with the previous month, were 100.2. The increase in the Consumer Price Index by 0.2% in November 2017, in comparison with the previous month, was a result of the higher indices of cheese and curd by 2.4%, frozen fruit by 1.8%, potatoes by 1.5%, rice, dried vegetables, other preserved or processed vegetables by 1.1%, food products n.e.c by 0.9%, other bakery products and meat by 0.8%, milk by 0.6%, oils and fats by 0.5%, fish and seafood, cigarettes by 0.4%, flours and other cereals by 0.3%, edible offal, dried, salted or smoked meat by 0.2%. In November 2017, there was also an increase of the indices of photographic and cinematographic equipment and optical instruments by 5.8%, hospital services by 4.7%, telephone and telefax equipment by 4.4%, liquid fuels for households by 4.1%, information processing equipment by 3.0%, liquid fuels and lubricants for personal transport equipment by 2.6%, gas for households by 2.3%, solid fuels, jewellery, clocks and watches by 1.5%, repair of household appliances by 1.3%, cleaning and maintenance products for the dwelling, recording media by 1.1%, games, toys and hobbies by 1.0%, footwear by 0.9%, carpets and other floor coverings, other services in respect of personal transport equipment by 0.7%, books by 0.5%, equipment for reception, recording and reproduction of sound and picture by 0.4%, clothing, cultural services by 0.3%, household furniture, repair of furniture, furnishings and floor coverings, household textiles, major electric appliances, therapeutic appliances and equipment and other personal effects by 0.2%. A decrease in the Consumer Price Index in November 2017, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fresh or chilled fruit by 8.9%, sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and confectionery by 1.2%, dry fruit and nuts by 1.1%, fresh or chilled vegetables other than potatoes and other tubers by 1.0%. In November, there was also a decrease of the indices of equipment for sport, camping and open-air recreation by 3.5%, glassware, tableware and household utensils, passenger transport by air by 2.7%, tools and equipment for house and garden by 1.5%, passenger transport by road, stationery and drawing materials by 0.8%, materials for the maintenance and repair of the dwelling, gardens, plants and flowers by 0.6% and spare parts for personal transport equipment by 0.3%. The Consumer Price Index in November 2017, in comparison with November 2016, registered an increase by 2.2%, while the Retail Price Index increased by 4.6%.
