The Consumer Price Index, by Coicop classification, in February 2010 in comparison with January 2010, increased by 0.4%

According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index, measured by prices of goods and services for personal consumption, in February 2010, in comparison with January 2010 was 100.4, while in comparison with February 2009, it was 100.6.

Analyzed by main groups of intended use, in February 2010, compared with January 2010, an increase has been registered in the groups: Food and non alcoholic beverages by 0.9%, Miscellaneous goods and services by 0.6%, Transport by 0.5%, Communication by 0.3%, Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, Furnishings, household equipment and routine maintenance of the house and Health by 0.2%.

A decrease of the Consumer Price Index was registered in the following groups: Recreation and culture by 2.4% and Clothing and footwear by 0.2%.

The indices of the groups: Alcoholic beverages, tobacco, Education and Restaurants and hotels remained at the same level as in the previous month.
