Consumer Price Index by COICOP classification and Retail Price Index,
June 2017

According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in June 2017, in comparison with the previous month,
was 100.3, while the Retail Price Index was 100.5.
An increase in the Consumer Price Index in June 2017, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fresh or chilled
fruit by 8.3%, dried fruit and nuts by 2.3%, other meat preparations by 0.4%, flours and other cereals and other food products
by 0.3% and frozen vegetables other than potatoes by 0.2%.
In June 2017, there was also an increase of the indices of passenger transport by air by 14.5%, cigarettes by 5.3%, accommodation
services by 4.8%, information processing equipment by 2.8%, package holidays by 2.1%, passenger transport by road by 1.9%,
repair of furniture, furnishings and floor coverings by 1.1%, carpets and other floor coverings by 0.7%, other services n.e.c by
0.6%, household furniture by 0.5%, household textiles by 0.4%, major electric household appliances by 0.3% and services for the
maintenance and repair of the dwelling by 0.2%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price Index in June 2017, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fresh or chilled
vegetables other than potatoes by 2.4%, milk by 2.2%, cheese and curd by 1.1%, edible offal by 0.9%, rice by 0.8%, eggs by 0.5%,
other bakery products and sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and confectionery by 0.4%, oils and fats and alcoholic beverages by
0.2%.
In June, there was also a decrease of the indices of gas for households by 4.0%, liquid fuels for households by 3.6%, liquid fuels
and lubricants for personal transport equipment by 3.1%, articles for personal hygiene and wellness by 0.9%, cleaning and
maintenance products for the dwelling and personal care services by 0.7%, small electric household appliances and domestic
services and household services by 0.6%, footwear, medicines and gardens, plants and flowers by 0.4%, other medical products,
equipment for the reception, recording and reproduction of sound and picture by 0.3%, bicycles and jewellery, clocks and
watches by 0.2%.
The Consumer Price Index in June 2017, in comparison with June 2016, registered an increase by 1.5%, while the Retail Price
Index increased by 2.9%.
