According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in February 2016, in comparison with the previous
month, was 99.9, while the Retail Price Index was 99.4.
The decrease in the Consumer Price Index by 0.1% in February 2016, in comparison with the previous month, is a result of the
lower indices of other bakery products and eggs by 1.4%, rice and bread by 0.9%, oils and fats by 0.8%, alcoholic beverages by
0.6%, meat and dried vegetables, other preserved or processed vegetables by 0.5%, flours and other cereals and other milk
products by 0.3% and non-alcoholic beverages by 0.2%.
In February, there was also a decrease of the indices of liquid fuels for households by 10.8%, passenger transport by air by 9.8%,
liquid fuels and lubricants by 6.4%, gas for households by 4.7%, telephone and telefax equipment by 4.4%, articles for personal
hygiene and wellness by 1.3%, services for personal care by 1.2%, repair of footwear, small electric household appliances and
maintenance and repair of personal transport equipment by 0.4%, footwear by 0.3%, major household appliances, jewellery,
clocks and watches by 0.2%.
An increase in the Consumer Price Index in February 2016, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fresh or
chilled vegetables other than potatoes by 4.9%, frozen fruit by 1.2%, fish and seafood and fresh or chilled fruit by 1.1%, sugar,
jam, honey, chocolate and confectionery by 0.6% and frozen vegetables other than potatoes by 0.2%.
In February, there was also an increase of the indices of hospital services by 13.2%, information processing equipment by 2.2%,
cleaning and maintenance products for the dwelling by 1.7%, solid fuels for households by 1.3%, household textile by 0.3%,
small tools and miscellaneous accessories, other medical products, therapeutic appliances and equipment by 0.2%.
The Consumer Price Index in February 2016, in comparison with February 2015, remained at the same level, while the Retail
Price Index decreased by 0.4%.
