According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in December 2015, in comparison with the previous
month, was 99.9, while the Retail Price Index was 100.1.
In 2015, in comparison with 2014, the Consumer Price Index registered a decrease by 0.3%, while the Retail Price Index decreased
by 1.3%.
The movement of the Consumer Price Index in 2015 was different by certain groups of products.
A decrease of indices was registered in the groups: Transport by 9.0% and Communication by 4.9%.
An increase was registered in the groups: Alcoholic beverages, tobacco by 5.4%, Furnishings, household equipment and routine
maintenance of the house by 2.0%, Health by 1.5%, Restaurants and hotels by 1.2%, Housing, water, electricity, gas and other
fuels by 1.1%, Recreation and culture by 0.8%, Clothing and footwear by 0.4%, Food and non-alcoholic beverages and Education
by 0.1%.
The group Miscellaneous goods and services remained at the same level as in the previous year.
The movement of the Retail Price Index in 2015 was different by various groups of consumption, as well.
A decrease of the indices was registered in the groups: Non-food industrial products by 3.4% and Services by 0.7%.
An increase was registered in the groups: Agricultural products by 3.3% and Beverages by 0.6%.
The group of Food industrial products remained at the same level as in the previous year.
The Consumer Price Index in December 2015, in comparison with December 2014, registered a decrease by 0.3%, while the
Retail Price Index decreased by 0.4%.
The Consumer Price Index in December 2015, in comparison with the previous month, registered a decrease by 0.1%.
The decrease in the Consumer Price Index, in December 2015, in comparison with the previous month, is a result of the lower
indices of fruit by 6.1%, fish by 2.1%, canned fish by 1.0%, food products n.e.c by 0.7%, meat, fresh milk and dry fruit by 0.3%
and pasta by 0.2%.
In December 2015, there was also a decrease of the indices of hospital services by 7.6%, liquid fuels for household by 7.5%,
medicines by 1.6%, liquid fuels and lubricants by 0.7%, gas for households by 0.3%, major household appliances and games, toys
and hobbies by 0.2%.
An increase in the Consumer Price Index in December 2015, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in eggs by
1.1%, other meat and vegetables by 0.7%, other milk products, sugar, jam ,honey, chocolate and confectionery by 0.3%, bread
and cereals, cured meat products and processed milk by 0.2%.
In December 2015, there was also an increase of the indices of accommodation services by 15.3%, package holidays by 6.9%,
passenger transport by air by 6.0%, dental services by 0.9%, other products for maintenance of the dwelling, telephone and
telefax equipment and telephone and telefax services by 0.6%, materials for the maintenance and repair of the dwelling and
small household appliances by 0.4%, footwear, solid fuels for household, services and personal care articles by 0.3%, furniture
and information processing equipment by 0.2%.
