Consumer Price Index by COICOP classification and Retail Price Index, May 2015

According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in May 2015, in comparison with the previous month, was
100.5, while the Retail Price Index was 100.6.


The increase in the Consumer Price Index by 0.5% in May 2015, in comparison with the previous month, is a result of the higher
indices of fresh fruit by 4.4%, fats by 1.8%, other food products n.e.c. by 1.6%, canned fish by 0.8%, canned vegetables by 0.7%,
fish by 0.6%, sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and confectionery by 0.5%, bread and cereals by 0.4% and pasta by 0.3%.


In May 2015, in comparison with the previous month, there was also an increase of the indices of passenger transport by air
by 11.2%, liquid fuels for households by 6.6%, cleaning and maintenance products for the dwelling by 4.6%, footwear by 4.3%,
liquid fuels and lubricants by 3.6%, books by 3.0%, package holidays by 2.8%, cultural services by 2.7%, other services in respect
of personal transport equipment by 1.7%, goods for routine household maintenance, information processing equipment and
games, toys and hobbies by 1.0%, glassware, tableware and household utensils by 0.7%, small household appliances by 0.6%,
solid fuels, hospital services, equipment for sport, camping and open-air recreation by 0.5%, clothing, materials for maintenance
and repair of the dwelling and recreational and culture services by 0.3%.

A decrease in the Consumer Price Index in May 2015, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in eggs by 2.1%,
canned meat products by 0.5%, meat and dry fruit by 0.4% and frozen vegetables by 0.2%.


In May, there was also a decrease of the indices of telephone and telefax equipment by 8.4%, medicines by 4.5%, accommodation
services by 2.2% and gas for household by 0.6%.


The Consumer Price Index in May 2015, in comparison with May 2014, registered an increase by 0.3%, while the Retail Price
Index decreased by 0.6%.
