According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in January 2015, in comparison with the previous month,
was 99.2, while the Retail Price Index was 99.0.
The decrease in the Consumer Price Index by 0.8% in January 2015, in comparison with the previous month, is a result of the
lower indices of fresh fruit by 2.6%, fresh vegetables by 1.9%, eggs by 1.4%, durable sausage products, canned meat products
and non-alcoholic beverages by 0.7%, fats and frozen vegetables by 0.6%, processed milk by 0.4% and fresh milk by 0.2%.
In January, there was also a decrease of the indices of liquid fuels for households by 13.3%, liquid fuels and lubricants by 10.1%, gas
for households by 5.8%, medicines by 4.3%, bicycles by 3.1%, footwear by 2.3%, personal care articles by 2.1%, accommodation
services by 1.5% and household textile by 0.2%.
An increase in the Consumer Price Index in January 2015, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in canned fish
by 1.3%, pasta by 1.0%, fish by 0.9%, other food products n.e.c. by 0.6%, cured meat products by 0.5%, other bakery products
by 0.4% and meat by 0.3%.
In January, there was also an increase of the indices of passenger transport by air by 3.7%, tobacco and materials for maintenance
of the dwelling by 2.1%, solid fuels, household appliances, glassware and tableware for the households by 0.8%, products and
services for the maintenance of the dwelling and information processing equipment by 0.4% and package holidays and food in
restaurants and hotels by 0.3%.
The Consumer Price Index in January 2015, in comparison with January 2014, registered a decrease by 1.5%, while the Retail
Price Index decreased by 4.6%.
