Consumer Price Index by COICOP classification and Retail Price Index, December 2014

According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in December 2014, in comparison with the previous
month, was 100.0, while the Retail Price Index was 99.7.


In 2014, in comparison with 2013, the Consumer Price Index registered a decrease by 0.3%, while the Retail Price Index decreased
by 0.9%.

The movement of the Consumer Price Index in 2014 was different by certain groups of products.


A decrease of indices has been registered in the groups: Recreation and culture by 3.9%, Furnishing, household equipment
and routine maintenance of the house by 1.6%, Transport by 1.4%, Restaurants and hotels by 1.2%, Food and non-alcoholic
beverages and Communication by 1.0% and Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 0.2%.


An increase of the indices has been registered in the groups: Health by 7.9%, Alcoholic beverages, tobacco by 4.0%, Miscellaneous
goods and services by 1.6%, Clothing and footwear by 0.7% and Education by 0.1%.


The movement of the Retail Price Index in 2014 was different by various groups of consumption, as well.


A decrease has been registered in the groups: Services by 1.6%, Food industrial products by 0.8%, Non-food industrial products
by 0.6% and Agricultural products by 0.2%.


An increase of the index has been registred in the group of Beverages by 1.1%.


The Consumer Price Index in December 2014, compared to December 2013, registered a decrease by 0.5%, while the Retail Price
Index decreased by 2.3%.

The Consumer Price Index in December 2014, in comparison with the previous month, remained at the same level, but there
were movements in the prices in some subgroups.
An increase of the Consumer Price Index in December 2014 was registered in fresh vegetables by 10.5% and durable sausage
products by 0.3%.


In December, there was also an increase in information processing equipment by 2.9%, package holidays by 2.8%, bicycles by
1.3%, refuse collection by 1.1%, gas for households by 0.9%, household appliances by 0.3% and tools and equipment for house
and garden by 0.2%.


A decrease in the Consumer Price Index in December 2014, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fruit by
7.8%, oil and fats, sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and confectionery by 1.2%, eggs by 0.7%, fish by 0.4% and canned fish by 0.3%.

In December, there was also a decrease of the indices of passenger transport by air by 12.3%, liquid fuels for household by 6.8%,
liquid fuels and lubricants by 5.4%, equipment for sport, camping and open-air recreation by 1.0%, pets and related products
including veterinary and other services for pets by 0.5% and cleaning and maintenance products for the dwelling by 0.4%.
