According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in February 2023, in comparison with the previous month was 100.6, while the Retail Price Index was 100.4.
An increase in the Consumer Price Index in February 2023, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in beer by 5.8%, fresh or chilled vegetables other than potatoes and other tubers by 4.9%, coffee, tea and cocoa by 2.3%, spirits by 1.4%, food products n.e.c by 1.3%, bread and cereals by 1.2%, mineral waters, soft drinks, fruit and vegetable juices by 1.0%, sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and confectionery, wine by 0.9%, and meat by 0.7%.
In February, there was also an increase in the indices of secondary education by 14.8%, veterinary and other services for pets by 13.1%, recording media by 3.7%, other medical products by 3.3%, cleaning, repair and hire of clothing by 2.7%, other articles of clothing and clothing accessories, bicycles by 2.5%, medical services, hairdressing salons and personal grooming establishments by 2.1%, non-durable household goods, fuels and lubricants for personal transport equipment by 2.0%, sewage collection by 1.8%, repair of furniture, furnishings and floor coverings by 1.6%, miscellaneous printed matter, other appliances, articles and products for personal care by 1.5%, materials for the maintenance and repair of the dwelling, services for the maintenance and repair of the dwelling by 1.4%, other services in respect of personal transport equipment by 1.3%, water supply, stationery and drawing materials by 1.2%, information processing equipment by 1.1%, small electric household appliances, small tools and miscellaneous accessories by 1.0%, other personal effects by 0.9%, major electric household appliances by 0.8%, gas for household, education not definable by level, other services n.e.c by 0.7%, furniture and furnishings, photographic and cinematographic equipment and optical instruments, restaurants, caffes and the like by 0.6%, gardens, plants and flowers by 0.5%, footwear, repair and hire of footwear, glassware, tableware and household utensils, games, toys and hobbies by 0.4%, garments, household textiles, passenger transport by road by 0.3%, major tools and equipment, domestic services and household services, equipment for sport, camping and open-air recreation, recreational and sporting services, cultural services by 0.2%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price index in February 2023, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in oils and fats by 1.1%, fresh or chilled fruit by 0.8%, milk by 0.4%, fish and seafood by 0.2%.
In February 2023, there was also a decrease of the indices of passenger transport by air by 5.9%, solid fuels for household by 3.9%, accommodation services by 3.0%, liquid fuels for household by 2.7%, motor cars by 1.1%, spare parts and accessories for personal transport equipment by 0.8%, equipment for the reception, recording and reproduction of sound and vision by 0.6%.
The Consumer Price Index in February 2023, in comparison with February 2022, increased by 16.7%, while Retail Price Index increased by 12.4%.
