Consumer Price Index and Retail Price Index, March 2022

According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in March 2022, in comparison with the previous month, was
101.6, while the Retail Price Index was 101.5.
An increase in the Consumer Price Index in March 2022, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in milk by 7.3%, eggs
by 6.0%, fresh or chilled fruit by 5.9%, bread and cereals by 5.0%, beer by 2.9%, oils and fats by 1.7%, meat, mineral waters, soft drinks,
fruit and vegetable juices by 1.3%, coffee, tea and cocoa by 1.2%, wine, cigarettes by 0.9%, food products n.e.c by 0.7%, sugar, jam,
honey, chocolate and confectionery, spirits by 0.5%, cheese and curd by 0.2%.
In March, there was also an increase in the indies of gas for household by 8.2%, liquid fuels for household by 8.1%, fuels and lubricants
for personal transport equipment by 6.1%, passenger transport by road by 5.2%, cleaning, repair and hire of clothing by 5.1%, other
medical products by 5.0%, pets and related products by 4.9%, repair of audio-visual, photographic and information processing
equipment by 4.8%, carpets and other floor coverings, package holidays by 3.4%, paramedical services by 3.1%, materials for the
maintenance and repair of the dwelling, recording media by 3.0%, motor cars by 2.8%, non-durable household goods, dental services
by 2.7%, restaurants, cafes and the like by 2.6%, maintenance and repair of personal transport equipment by 2.1%, bicycles by 1.9%,
small electric household appliances, gardens, plants and flowers by 1.8%, major tools and equipment, hair dressing salons and personal
grooming establishments, electric appliances for personal care by 1.7%, jewellery, clocks and watches by 1.6%, actual rentals paid by
tenants by 1.5%, services for the maintenance and repair of the dwelling, solid fuels for household by 1.3%, furniture and furnishings,
small tools and miscellaneous accessories, medical services, other services in respect of personal transport equipment, miscellaneous
printed matter, accommodation services by 1.0%, therapeutical appliances and equipment by 0.8%, major household appliances, spare
parts for personal transport equipment, education not definable by level by 0.7%, pharmaceutical products by 0.6%, other personal
effects by 0.5%, other appliances, articles and products for personal care by 0.4%, garments, other articles of clothing and clothing
accessories, glassware, tableware and household utensils, stationery and drawing materials, other services n.e.c. by 0.3%, clothing
materials, repair of furniture, furnishings and floor coverings, household textiles by 0.2%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price index in March 2022, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fresh or chilled
vegetables other than potatoes and other tubers by 1.6%.
In March, there was also a decrease of the indices of passenger transport by air by 9.4%, social protection by 1.1%, games, toys and
hobbies by 1.0%, photographic and cinematographic equipment and optical instruments by 0.7%, information processing equipment
by 0.6%, footwear by 0.4%.
The Consumer Price Index in March 2022, in comparison with March 2021, increased by 8.8%, while the Retail Price Index increased by
9.6%.
