According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in July 2021, in comparison with the previous month, was 100.5, while the Retail Price Index was 102.3.
An increase in the Consumer Price Index in July 2021, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in cigarettes by 0.9%, milk by 0.8%, fresh or chilled fruit, food products n.e.c. by 0.5%, bread and cereals by 0.4%, beer by 0.3%.
In July, there was also an increase in the indices of passenger transport by air by 49.9%, gas for households by 8.4%, fuels and lubricants for personal transport equipment by 5.0%, liquid fuels for household by 4.7%, package holidays by 3.4%, accommodation services by 2.2%, information processing equipment by 2.1%, other medical products, electrical appliances for personal care by 1.0%, passenger transport by road, equipment for reception, recording and reproduction of sound and picture, jewellery, clocks and watches by 0.8%, small electric household appliances, pharmaceutical products by 0.7%, motor cars, miscellaneous printed matter by 0.6%, pets and related products by 0.5%, major household appliances, bicycles by 0.4%, materials for maintenance and repair of the dwelling, photographic and cinematographic equipment and optical instruments by 0.2%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price index in July 2021, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fresh or chilled vegetables other than potatoes and other tubers by 9.6%, oils and fats by 2.2%, wine by 1.6%, meat by 0.7%, cheese and curd by 0.3%.
In July, there was also a decrease of the indices of paramedical services by 1.1%, carpets and other floor coverings by 0.5%, garments, furniture and furnishings, glassware, tableware, and household utensils by 0.3%, footwear, recording media, equipment for sport, camping and open-air recreation by 0.2%.
The Consumer Price Index in July 2021, in comparison with July 2020, increased by 3.4%, while the Retail Price Index increased by 5.4%.
