According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in February 2021, in comparison with the previous month, was
100.1, while the Retail Price Index was 100.0.
An increase in the Consumer Price Index in February 2021, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fresh or chilled fruit
by 2.7%, fresh or chilled vegetables other than potatoes and other tubers, wine by 0.8%, sugar, jam, honey, chocolate and confectionery
by 0.5%, fish and seafood, food products n.e.c by 0.3%, bread and cereals, whole milk by 0.2%.
In February, there was also an increase in the indices of gas for household, motor cars, information processing equipment by 3.1%, fuels
and lubricants for personal transport equipment by 1.4%, recording media by 0.9%, water supply, jewellery, clocks and watches by 0.7%,
passenger transport by road by 0.6%, major household appliances, pharmaceutical products, gardens, plants and flowers by 0.5%, spare
parts and accessories for personal transport equipment, other services in respect of personal transport equipment by 0.4%, furniture
and furnishings by 0.3%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price index in February 2021, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in mineral waters, soft
drinks, fruit and vegetable juices, spirits by 0.7%, cheese and curd by 0.2%.
In February, there was also a decrease of the indices of liquid fuels for household by 18.6%, footwear by 2.3%, sewage collection by
1.2%, clothing materials by 0.5%, garments, equipment for reception, recording and reproduction of sound and picture, other personal
effects by 0.4%, small electric household appliances by 0.3%, pets and related products by 0.2%.
The Consumer Price Index in February 2021, in comparison with February 2020, increased by 1.9%, while the Retail Price Index increased
by 1.8%.
