According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in August 2020, in comparison with the previous month was 100.5, while the Retail Price Index was 100.8.
An increase in the Consumer Price index in August 2020, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in dried vegetables, other preserved or processed vegetables by 0.7%, milk by 0.5%, rice by 0.4%, beer by 0.3%, cheese and curd by 0.2%.
In August, there was also an increase in the indices of electricity by 7.4%, information processing equipment by 1.6%, pharmaceutical products by 1.3%, gas for household, motor cars by 1.2%, maintenance and repair of personal transport equipment by 1.1%, clothing materials, recreational and sporting services by 1.0%, games, toys and hobbies by 0.9%, therapeutic appliances and equipment by 0.8%, recording media, stationery and drawing materials, jewellery, clocks and watches by 0.6%, services for maintenance and repair of the dwelling, other services in respect of personal transport equipment by 0.5%, photographic and cinematographic equipment and optical instruments, electric appliances for personal care by 0.4%, materials for the maintenance and repair of the dwelling, carpets and other floor coverings, small electric household appliances, dental services, hairdressing salons and personal grooming establishments by 0.2%.
A decrease in the Consumer Price Index in august 2020, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fresh or chilled fruit by 2.7%, fresh or chilled vegetables other than potatoes and other tubers by 0.6%, meat, eggs by 0.4%, oils and fats by 0.2%.
In August, there was also a decrease of the indices of footwear by 1.8%, fuels and lubricants for personal transport equipment by 1.1%, bicycles by 0.9%, garments, gardens, plants and flowers by 0.6%, liquid fuels for household by 0.2%.
The Consumer Price Index in August 2020, in comparison with August 2019, increased by 1.5%, while Retail Price Index increased by 0.7%.
