According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in July 2020, in comparison with the previous month was 99.8, while the Retail Price Index was 100.9.
A decrease in the Consumer Price Index in July 2020, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fresh or chilled vegetables other than potatoes and other tubers by 21.3%, fresh or chilled fruit by 0.7%, beer by 0.4%, spirits by 0.3%, milk, mineral waters, soft drinks, fruit and vegetable juices by 0.2%.
In July, there was also a decrease of the indices of information processing equipment by 2.3%, spare parts and accessories for personal transport equipment by 2.1%, motor cars by 1.4%, equipment for the reception, recording and reproduction of sound and picture by 0.9.%, carpets and other floor coverings by 0.6%, garments, major household appliances by 0.2%.
An increase in the Consumer Price Index in July 2020, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in cigarettes by 0.6%, bread and cereals, dry fruits and nuts by 0.4%, food products n.e.c by 0.3%, oils and fats, wine by 0.2%.
In July, there was also an increase in the indices of liquid fuels for household by 35.5%, liquid fuels and lubricants for personal transport equipment by 4.6%, gas for households by 3.2%, recreational and cultural services by 2.1%, bicycles by 1.6%, books by 0.9%, other services in respect of personal transport equipment, passenger transport by road by 0.8%, other articles of clothing and clothing accessories, recording media by 0.4%, small electric household appliances by 0.3%, furniture and furnishings, other medical products by 0.2%.
The Consumer Price Index in July 2020, in comparison with July 2019, increased by 1.3%, while Retail Price Index remained on the same level as previous year.
