According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index in February 2014, in comparison with the previous
month, was 99.9, while the Retail Price Index was 99.5.
The decrease in the Consumer Price Index by 0.1% in February 2014, in comparison with the previous month, is a result of the
lower indices of sugar by 1.9%, fats by 1.6%, fruit by 0.8%, meat and frozen vegetables by 0.7% and processed milk by 0.4%.
In February, there was also a decrease of the indices of passenger transport by air by 9.3%, information processing equipment by
8.5%, gas for households by 7.6%, liquid fuels and lubricants by 1.0%, liquid fuels for households by 0.9%, household appliances
by 0.8% and footwear by 0.7%.
An increase in the Consumer Price Index in February 2014, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in preserved
fruit by 2.1%, vegetables by 1.6%, marmalades and chocolate products by 0.7%, fish by 0.6%, alcoholic beverages by 0.5%,
bread and cereals, cured meat products and processed vegetables by 0.4%, fresh milk by 0.3%, pasta and other food products
by 0.2%.
In February, there was also an increase of the indices of services for passenger transport by road by 3.3%, telephone and telefax
equipment and services by 0.9%, furniture by 0.4% and medicines by 0.2%.
The Consumer Price Index in February 2014, in comparison with February 2013, registered an increase by 0.6%, while the Retail
Price Index increased by 0.4%.
