Consumer Price Index, by COICOP classification, August 2013

According to the State Statistical Office data, the Consumer Price Index, measured by prices of goods and services for personal
consumption, in August 2013, in comparison with July 2013, was 100.3, while in comparison with August 2012 it was 102.8.
Analyzed by main groups of intended use, in August 2013, compared with July 2013, an increase of indices has been registered in
the groups: Transport by 1.8%, Food and non-alcoholic beverages and Furnishings, household equipment and routine maintenance
of the house by 0.4%, Alcoholic beverages, tobacco, Recreation and culture and Miscellaneous goods and services by 0.1%.
A decrease of the Consumer Price Index was registered in the groups: Clothing and footwear by 0.2% and Housing, water,
electricity, gas and other fuels by 0.1%.
The indices of the groups: Health, Communication, Education and Restaurants and hotels remained at the same level as in the
previous month.
