Retail Price Index and Consumer Price Index, July 2012

According to the State Statistical Office data, the Retail Price Index and the Consumer Price Index in July 2012, in comparison
with the previous month, were 99.1.
The decrease in the Consumer Price Index by 0.9% is a result of the lower indices of vegetables by 15.8%, eggs by 3.5%, fruit by
3.1%, alcoholic beverages by 0.5%, processed vegetables by 0.4%, processed fish, dairy products and non-alcoholic beverages
by 0.3%.
In July, there was also a decrease of the indices of liquid fuels and gas by 6.3% and oil derivatives by 5.1%.
An increase in the Consumer Price Index in July 2012, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fresh and sour
milk by 0.4%, processed meat and fish by 0.2%.
In July, there was also an increase of the indices of passenger transport by air by 1.7%, medicines by 0.9%, package holidays by
0.7%, household appliances by 0.4% and means of education by 0.3%.
The Retail Price Index in July 2012, compared with July 2011, registered an increase by 1.8%, while the Consumer Price Index
increased by 2.3%.
