According to the State Statistical Offce data, the Retail Price Index in August 2011, in comparison with the previous month, was 100.0, while the Consumer Price Index was 99.9.
The decrease in the Consumer Price Index by 0.1% is a result of the lower indices of fruit by 14.6%, vegetable by 3.3% and fresh and sour milk by 0.2%.
In August, there was also a decrease of the indices of postal services by 3.7%, package holidays by 3.2%, passenger transport by 2.1%, footwear by 1.2% and dwelling services by 0.8%.
An increase in the Consumer Price Index in August 2011, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fats by 5.5%, eggs by 1.7%, fsh by 1.5%, processed meat by 0.8%, processed fruit and meat by 0.2%.
In August, there was also an increase of the indices of oil derivatives by 4.1%, central heating by 2.9%, means of education by 2.2%, transport equipment by 1.0%, personal care articles by 0.6%, clothing and household appliances by 0.2%.
The Retail Price Index, in August 2011, compared with August 2010, registered an increase by 3.8%, while the Consumer Price Index increased by 3.6%.
