According to the State Statistical Office data, the Retail Price Index in July 2011, in comparison with the previous month, was 99.8, while the Consumer Price Index was 99.2.
The decrease in the Consumer Price Index by 0.8% is a result of the lower indices of fruit by 20.0%, vegetables by 13.9%, eggs by 1.5%, fresh milk by 0.7% and cereal products by 0.6%.
In July, there was also a decrease of the indices of oil derivatives by 1.5%, materials for maintenance of the dwelling and cosmetic products by 0.2%.
An increase in the Consumer Price Index in July 2011, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fats by 3.4%, processed fish by 1.3%, processed fruit by 0.6%, meat by 0.4%, dairy products by 0.3%, processed vegetables and alcoholic beverages by 0.2%.
In July, there was also an increase of the indices of education services by 3.7%, passenger transport by 3.4%, accommodation services by 0.9%, food and beverages in restaurants and hotels by 0.5%, vehicles maintenance and package holidays by 0.2%.
The Retail Price Index in July 2011, compared with July 2010, registered an increase by 4.0%, while the Consumer Price Index increased by 3.8%.
