Retail Price Index and Consumer Price Index, June 2011

According to the State Statistical Office data, the Retail Price Index and the Consumer Price Index in June 2011, in comparison with the previous month, were 99.4.
The decrease in the Consumer Price Index by 0.6% is a result of the lower indices of vegetables by 25.6%, fats by 2.0%, eggs by 0.8%, fresh milk by 0.7%, dairy products by 0.4% and processed vegetables by 0.2%.
In June, there was also a decrease of the indices of passenger transport by 2.3%, oil derivatives by 2.0%, means of education by 0.8%, footwear by 0.4% and clothing by 0.3%.
An increase in the Consumer Price Index in June 2011, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fruit by 35.1%, processed meat by 0.8%, processed fish by 0.4%, other food products and alcoholic beverages by 0.3% and meat by 0.2%.
In June, there was also an increase of the indices of package holidays by 4.9%, accommodation services by 0.9%, personal care articles by 0.8%, education services by 0.4% and miscellaneous services n.e.c by 0.1%.
The Retail Price Index in June 2011, compared with June 2010, registered an increase by 4.0%, while the Consumer Price Index increased by 4.1%.
