According to the State Statistical Office data, the Retail Price Index in May 2013, in comparison with the previous month, was
99.4, while the Consumer Price Index was 99.8.
The decrease in the Consumer Price Index by 0.2% in May 2013, in comparison with the previous month, is a result of the lower
indices of non-alcoholic beverages by 5.8%, vegetables by 2.7%, eggs by 2.5%, processed vegetables by 1.4%, fats by 1.1% and
fish by 0.3%.
In May 2013, there was also a decrease of the indices of liquid fuels and gas for households and oil derivatives by 4.7%, passenger
transport by air by 1.2% and household appliances by 0.4%.
An increase in the Consumer Price Index in May 2013, in comparison with the previous month, was registered in fruits by 6.4%,
processed meat by 1.1%, alcoholic beverages by 0.9% and processed milk by 0.6%.
In May, there was also an increase of the indices of footwear by 2.3%, personal care articles and beverages in restaurants and
hotels by 0.7%, medicines by 0.5% and food in restaurants and hotels by 0.4%.
The Retail Price Index in May 2013, in comparison with May 2012, registered an increase by 0.9% while the Consumer Price Index
increased by 3.4%.
