Gross Domestic Product, first quarter of 2011

According to the estimated data, the growth rate of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the first quarter of 2011 was 5.1%.

Household final consumption, including Non-profit institutions serving households, increased by 7.5% in nominal terms compared to the same period of 2010, and its share in the GDP structure was 76.9%.

In the same period, Export of goods and services increased by 40.5% in nominal terms, while Import of goods and services rose by 43.6%.

In this quarter, an increase was registered in most of the sections, with the biggest increase being recorded in the following sections: F - Construction by 21.2%, and C, D and E - Mining and quarrying, Manufacturing and Electricity, gas and water supply by 13.7%.
