Gross Domestic Product, second quarter of 2014

Quarterly data on Gross Domestic Product in this release have been prepared in accordance with the European System of Accounts (ESA 2010), as a result of the revision of annual data according to this methodology. Data by sectors of activities and aggregation are presented by NACE Rev. 2 classification. The series of data at constant prices is presented with reference year 2005. According to the estimated data, the growth rate of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the second quarter of 2014 was 4.3%. In this quarter, an increase was registered in most of the sections. The biggest increase was recorded in sections G, H and I - Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles; Transportation and storage; Accommodation and food service activities by 5.0% and K - Financial and insurance activities by 4.1%. In the second quarter of 2014, Household final consumption, including Non-profit institutions serving households, increased by 2.5% in nominal terms compared to the same period of 2013, and its share in the GDP structure was 73.7%. In the same period, Export of goods and services increased by 14.2% in nominal terms, while Import of goods and services increased by 10.7%.
