Homes and boarding schools for pupils and students, 2023/2024

According to the data of the State Statistical Office, in 2023/2024, the total number of pupils and students accommodated in homes
for pupils in primary and secondary school and student dormitories was 5 761, which represents a decrease of 2.0% compared to
2022/2023. The homes for students in secondary religious schools accommodated 132 students.
The annual reports cover 32 homes: homes for pupils in primary school, homes for pupils in secondary school, homes for secondary
religious school students and student dormitories.
Pupil and student homes and student dormitories provide lodging, food and education for pupils and students in the course of schooling
outside their parents’/guardians’ place of residence.
