Index of the number of employees in industry, December 2012

According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in the Republic of
Macedonia in December 2012, in comparison with December 2011, was 98.7.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in December 2012, in comparison with
December 2011, increased by 8.8%, in the section Manufacturing industry it decreased by 2.8%, while in the section
Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it increased by 3.7%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in December 2012, in comparison with December 2011, was
lower in Intermediate goods industries, except energy by 2.7%, Capital goods industries by 7.3%, Durable consumer goods
industries by 8.9%, and Non-durable consumer goods industries by 2.0%, but higher in Energy by 10.0%.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the Republic of Macedonia in the period January-December
2012, in comparison with January-December 2011, was 97.6.
