Index of the number of employees in industry, October 2012

According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in the Republic of
Macedonia in October 2012, in comparison with October 2011, was 94.6.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in October 2012, in comparison with
October 2011, decreased by 0.5%, in the section Manufacturing industry it decreased by 6.4%, while in the section
Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it increased by 0.6%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in October 2012, in comparison with October
2011, was lower in Intermediate goods industries, except energy by 3.7%, Capital goods industries by 10.9%,
Durable consumer goods industries by 9.1% and Non-durable consumer goods industries by 6.9%.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the Republic of Macedonia in the period January - October
2012, in comparison with January - October 2011, was 97.3.
