Index of the number of employees in industry, July 2012

According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in the Republic of
Macedonia in July 2012, in comparison with July 2011, was 97.4.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in July 2012, in comparison with July
2011, increased by 0.7%, in the section Manufacturing industry it decreased by 3.1%, while in the section Electricity,
gas, steam and air conditioning supply it increased by 0.3%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in July 2012, in comparison with July 2011,
was lower in Intermediate goods industries, except energy by 1.2%, Capital goods industries by 10.4%, Durable
consumer goods industries by 8.6% and Non-durable consumer goods industries by 2.9%, but higher in Energy by
0.2%.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the Republic of Macedonia in the period January - July 2012,
in comparison with January - July 2011, was 98.2.
