According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in the Republic of Macedonia in
May 2012, in comparison with May 2011, was 97.9.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in May 2012, in comparison with May 2011, increased
by 0.5%, in the section Manufacturing industry it decreased by 2.6%, while in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air
conditioning supply it increased by 0.3%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in May 2012, in comparison with May 2011, was higher in
Energy by 0.2%, but lower in Capital goods industries by 8.5%, Durable consumer goods industries by 5.2% and Non-durable
consumer goods industries by 3.0%.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the Republic of Macedonia in the period January - May 2012, in comparison
with January - May 2011, was 98.4.
