Index of the number of employees in industry, April 2012

According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in the Republic of
Macedonia in April 2012 in comparison with April 2011 was 98.3.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in April 2012 in comparison with April
2011 increased by 0.7%, in the section Manufacturing industry it decreased by 2.1% and in the section Electricity,
gas, steam and air conditioning supply it increased by 0.2%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in April 2012 in comparison with April 2011
was higher in Energy by 0.1% and Intermediate goods industries, except energy by 1.1%, but lower in Capital good
industries by 8.1%, Durable consumer goods industries by 3.6% and Non-Durable consumer goods industries by
3.0%.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the Republic of Macedonia in the period January - April 2012,
in comparison with January - April 2011, was 98.5
