Index of the number of employees in industry, March 2012

According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in the Republic of Macedonia in
March 2012, in comparison with March 2011, was 99.3.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in March 2012, in comparison with March 2011,
increased by 1.2%, in the section Manufacturing industry it decreased by 1.0%, while in the section Electricity, gas, steam and
air conditioning supply it increased by 0.6%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in March 2012, in comparison with March 2011, was higher
in Energy by 0.4% and Non-durable consumer goods industries by 0.4%, but lower in Intermediate goods industries, except
energy by 1.6%, Capital goods industries by 6.9% and Durable consumer goods industries by 3.9%.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the Republic of Macedonia in the period January - March 2012, in comparison
with January - March 2011, was 98.6.
