Index of the number of employees in industry, January 2012

According to the State Statistical Office data, the index of the number of employees in industry in the Republic of
Macedonia in January 2012, in comparison with January 2011, was 98.8.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in January 2012, in comparison with
January 2011, decreased by 0.1%, in the section Manufacturing industry it decreased by 1.6%, while in the section
Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it increased by 1.9%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in January 2012, in comparison with January
2011, was higher in Energy by 1.2% and Non-durable consumer goods industries by 0.5%, but lower in Intermediate
goods industries, except energy by 3.8%, Capital goods industries by 6.5% and Durable consumer goods industries
by 3.3%.
