According to the State Statstcal Ofce data, the index of the number of employees in industry in the Republic of Macedonia in December 2011, in comparison with December 2010, was 98.6.
The number of employees in industry in the secton Mining and quarrying in December 2011, in comparison with December 2010, decreased by 0.5%, in the secton Manufacturing industry it decreased by 1.5% and in the secton Electricity, gas, steam and air conditoning supply it decreased by 0.9%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in December 2011, in comparison with December 2010, was lower in Energy by 2.5%, Intermediate goods industries, except energy by 2.8%, Durable consumer goods industries by 4.4% and Non-durable consumer goods industries by 0.2%, while in Capital goods industries the index was at the same level.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the Republic of Macedonia in the period January - December 2011, in comparison with January - December 2010, was 101.5.
